They’re just two different kinds of hubris with the same result. “Primarily intended to advance the case” yeah how’d that work out. The point is he saw the danger—experienced it first hand!—and took the risk anyway, thinking it wouldn’t affect him. That’s hubris.

Cannon was in the rotation & he knew it. After the whole “special master” fiasco he should’ve chosen the *possible* prolonged fight over even a one percent chance he’d draw her for the trial. He tempted fate & lost, as those afflicted with hubris are wont to do.

I think that’s a valid take because I never could find myself sympathizing with any of the characters. It never payed to invest in any of them if they showed the slightest sign of some sort of awakening or self-awareness bc by the end of the episode they’d sharply revert to form.

Hate watching is a real thing,but I also kept looking for the appeal that others saw in it. (Netflix made it easy) Just wasn’t there.

Every season of Suits was terrible. I binged the whole series last year, hoping for character growth, plot evolution, improvement in story telling & some depiction of the practice of law that didn’t involve barging into offices & slapping briefs on a table. Nada; just the same old churn.

Every time I’d turn on the coffee maker my wife would say “Push the button, Frank” 😂

I discovered this show when I was in junior college in the 90’s and taped every episode. Since lost all those VHS tapes but my wife would get me regular box DVD sets for Christmas
