It wasn't just a "Hello, I am Bob, acknowledge me and be my fwend." (nothing against Bob's out there) If I just get a hello, you're going to get the business "How may I help you?" and after that, it better be something more than "NM, HBU?" or starting into the speed dating questions.

A good example of one of the better interactions and a better way for it to go. Rando I've never heard of with hardly any social media presence asks about a piece I had commissioned a while back and why it was made. They were polite and direct, and gave a natural direction to our conversation.

If someone wants to talk, cool, but the onus is on them to have the conversation. Not on me to receive the hello and then carry it on.

I've had an influx in the last month of people who message me and expect me to carry the conversation, and/or are surprised when I haven't put forth the effort to speak to them, who I have no prior knowledge of. I get to be the rude person when I point this out to them as well.

Some did hop the fence for pictures.

Well 1) I live in a decent neighborhood, and 2) around here civil cases start at $20, so I could be petty and fix that quick.
