Hackers would be doing the UK and world a service if they..."showed these ministers what a lack of encryption would mean," publicly.

To add: it would serve you well to remember that generally autistics are curious people and if we dont understand something, we want to. And if we dont satisfy that curiosity, for many of us it becomes an obsessive thought that leads to painful anxiety

So just answer the question

I went through my provincial gauntlet of vaccination (where they try and intimidate you into leaving), peopled too much, and am in the throes of the fever I get afterward, plus inebriated because of <everything before>

I probably should not be posting right now. Feel free to ignore...

I was really hoping I didn't imply that.

Brain jumping to final destination before I even comprehend how we got there.

The suituation I'm hypothesizing (living), is a function of how the system works, not a condemnation of the options we have available.

But all of that can disappear without an alternative, and that false stability leaves you hanging.

It's not your fault, it's the situation/government/etc. But we want to feel like the known will remain.

Which for most things is okay. But when it's necessities, you're SoL and up the creek.

Perhaps that false stability is actually the problem. You get used to that weird precarious situation where things are mostly okay. Where you can maybe cover the bad week, book extra time to cook, do the one safe takeout.

There's a lot of nuance, supply chain issues, and individual needs/means that affect how we interact with food.

And, honestly, almost off of that is bad. Even before our governments decide to destroy any stability we may have had.

And this gets amplified with differing costs, with whatever option is the best (or just least likely to kill you) often being the most expensive in monetary or time costs.

It's freeing, but also like you're now in a gilded cage. I don't begrudge the options, but it feels like we don't get a choice.

I am overloaded and so I hope this makes sense: meal kits, while very useful for many, create a situation where people with dietary restrictions are left both without a local source of safe food, and no way to bypass that. Both sides assume the other will cover the gap, and thus the gap widens.
