Illustrator Adelaide Claxton is best known for her artwork depicting ghosts and dreams, but she was also an inventor. During the 1890s, she registered several patents under her married name, Adelaide Sophia Turner, including the 'Armpit-Crutch for Bed-Rests and Chair-Backs'.
