Medicaid didn't go offline because it was too "woke."

School lunch programs weren't put at risk because of immigrants.

Funding for cancer research wasn't on the chopping block because of trans people.

All of this (and more) was jeopardized because of one person: Donald Trump.

Bingo card for today: Hang up on insurance company after being told not to use a profanity when I slipped and said "Oh great just another way _____ is fucking me over.". (1/2)

January 2025 can suck it.

Mom dies after a horrendous hospital stay.

Partial thyroidectomy on inauguration day, two weeks after my mother's death.

The world is burning up all around us.

Surgery over and totally feel like an elephant stomped on my neck

Ever feel like nobody listens and they are going to let your parent die in the hospital?

Honestly so exhausted from three weeks with two different admissions. Mom never opened her eyes today and only screams. But let's not do the MRI to see what really happened. Lovely.

Hospitals do NOT care about patients. It's all about beds needed and money to make. The system is beyond fucked up, especially elder care.

Listening to mom cry because the asshats at the hospital never cleared the systemic thrush. It was better and they knew it wasn't gone thanks to the pulmonologist. Well now it's back and she's in agony. Can't eat, sugar low, weak as hell. Oh but they cleared a hospital bed. Yay 🤬

Is it acceptable to put myself into a time out on my birthday?

Too many reasons to list, but I don't feel like participating in the 💩 show today

This appeared over night 🫤

I may be a December baby, but I'm over this already.

Dermatologist office is calling in a topical eczema medication for the kid. His hands are so fried since he's no longer able to be on the biologic for eczema. Now we wait to see why insurance will deny this, because we all know they know best 🙄

We were running out of my Premier Protein drink that I use in coffee, so I asked @techydad.bsky.social to get me something I used to love. Peppermint mocha used to be my go to, but it's been at least four years since I switched.

November was filled with a lot of stress. Hip injury kept my concentration down so I wasn't able to read as much. Then I've been distracted by my mother being admitted to the hospital.

What have you read recently?

Thankful for the people working at the hospital today where Mom is still staying.

Not thankful for the darn snow.

So gross that the CSS Profile is required and gives more information to a certain company. I wish more private colleges would move away from this.

Can you tell I'm the parent of someone in the Class of 2025?

Let's play a guessing game with Mom's dinner at the hospital.

This week has been a 💩 show for so many reasons. It's ending with my mother being admitted to the hospital.
