I'm Amanda Nevada DeMel (she/her), an asexual horror author.
I'm currently working on a historical horror novel, and I recently passed 15,000 words on it. It's set in a traveling circus in the US during the Dust Bowl.

Even the ideas of “low support needs” and “high support needs” create/contribute to misunderstanding. They’re the answer to “How much do you inconvenience and challenge these systems ability to justify themselves?” They’re not really about the person with autism.

Sure, fascism has been (and will be) defeated, but... not until quite a lot of people died first.
I guess until you hear public officials calling for the elimination of people like you, until there is an actual gun to your head, can you understand why some people might be freaking out a little bit.
