I have seen 100s of different public speakers, at all manner of events, at this point in my life & Ruby Bridges is easily top 3. Not just bc of her story, but her message and delivery is superb.
If you, or anyone you know, get a chance to see her speak, take it.

Recently, I finally read “Foundation” and, while I think the themes & prose are great, it felt very dated. I know it sounds odd but the cigar references always made me stop to think “Why would future people have cigars on their desk?” I could definitely see a younger reader quickly losing interest.

One of my best friends from college was obsessed with this band.
So much so he asked me to play the acoustic/rhythm parts at his wedding while he sang.
When I sat down to learn the melody/key changes/etc., I realized I already knew it despite never once playing the song on my own.
I almost cried.
