AFRICOM chief Gen. Michael Langley landed at Somaliland’s Berbera Port today, scoping it as a forward base to strangle Iran-backed Houthi arms routes and project force into the Red Sea. Scare times at the Horn Of Africa.

South Africans might finally get their land back, thanks Trump...
The Langtons from South Africa were given a fast track to refugee status in America. The Mehraz family from Myanmar, who saw their neighbors rounded up and shot to death, is struggling after cuts to refugee resettlement agencies.
Two refugee families. Two very different experiences under Trump.

The discourse around USAID among US based leftists is missing two things 1) People on the continent don’t need to be schooled on soft imperial power and 2) we need to support alternatives to the funding streams and dependency they create. In the context of Sudan (1/2)

Finally they made it official. France’s intentions were always suspect—maintaining resource extraction under the guise of fighting never ending terrorist threats. Their failure has been exposed as multiple countries show them the door. A lesson in what happens when actions don’t match promises.
There has been speculation about Deby's intentions for more than a year, but this move is still intriguing - after all, the French presence served as an ultimate guarantee against any rebel columns charging towards N'Djamena from Libya or Darfur. So what's next?

The Wagner Group is failing in the Sahel, just like the French before them. Both share the same playbook: prioritizing resource extraction over supporting local communities. So the results are the same.

The "battle for Africa" narrative persists with the same outdated "master" mentality, which is why many African nations are moving on to new partners. Africa ain't yours to lose!

First video I made was about generational populism—urging young African politicians to embrace reform agendas that challenge the failures of past leaders. We're finally seeing this in Senegal, where young voters are rallying for reform and new leaders.
