The Crackdown Cat
@the-crackdown.bsky.social
Hello. I am a cat who maintains an idiosyncratic and occasionally updated Dublin listings spreadsheet called The Crackdown. Whenever I update it I post a link to it here.
Minor update... an antiracist walking tour and an additional Muppet Christmas Carol screening.

And in the world of films we have a visit to Dublin by Charlie Kaufman and a screening of two of his films (including Synecdoche New York), plus the Kinopolis Polish film festival, which provides a rare chance to see Wojciech Has's avant garde classic The Saragossa Manuscript.

Also a load of exhibitions in the RHA and a National Photographic Archive on Live Aid (with some fascinating tie-in events including an Ethiopian coffee ceremony with a DJ spinning Ethiopian tunes).

Also recently added are various weirdo Kirkos events, a Pan Pan theatre thing called YFEL, M.R. James livestreams, a Turbojugend meet-up, lots of classical stuff, a concert performance of Gerald Barry's Salome opera, Philip Glass Explored, and a concert by heavy metal lutenist Jozef van Wissem.

As well as new releases, newly added films includesuch classics as Diva (superstylish French thriller), City on Fire (Chow Yun Fat does his thing), The Prestige, The Vanishing (see it once), various saucy pre-Code Sass Mouth Dames pictures, and a rare screening of FATAL DEVIATION.
