They are, of course, different situations, and it was inexcusable what happened. It just reminds me of the language of the oppressor, and how the dehumanized are expected to accept good enough as more than they deserve.

Living through history is hard but it’s critical we don’t leave any Disabled person behind in the process and it’s important to stay accountable when we slip up, regardless of intentions. I was so focused on getting info out and people seen that I didn’t practice what I preach. So I will fix that.
