I went as often as I could to watch the orchestra and I happened to film this part while it was still just a board. Before I wasn't sure what direction to take this shot's animation cause the temp music was bare, then I heard those 3 brass stings and it was done. (used my phone's audio!)

Checked her IMDB to see which film she was referring to, and it's Lego Ninjago lol. NGL, I regularly forget that film exists.......and you probably do too.
This puts so much of KPop Demon Hunters into perspective and I am glad Kang got to see her vision through variety.com/2025/film/ne...

Spielberg came a long way from his "I want a new background for EVERY shot!" suggestions back in the Tiny Toons days. Glad to see his input leaned more and more toward his specialty, the storytelling, as he got involved with more animated productions.
One scene that I love in How to Train Your Dragon is when Hiccup wakes up and realizes Toothless is in his house. The moment was actually Steven Spielberg's idea and I'm glad he suggested it cause it helped enforce the bond, especially when Hiccup realizes he lost his foot.

Arkham Knight's photo mode is still absolutely incredible. One of the best looking games from 8th gen.

Incompetence, thy name is Warner Bros.
(With a different spelling, of course.)
🚨 Warner Bros. Discovery will split into 2 separate companies by mid 2026.

Streaming & Studios: WB Television, WB Pictures, WB Games, DC Studios, HBO, HBO Max & their film & TV libraries.

Global Networks: CNN, TNT Sports, Discovery, Discovery+ & other TV networks.

If I went back to my childhood self and told him I would one day be credited on a movie alongside these absolute titans of animation he would beat me up and call the cops.

I’n beyond grateful, immensely honored,
and serving time in 1999.

If you're like me and love the Duck Dodgers TV show, you'll be happy to discover that DC was doing tie-in stories for it on a semi-regular basis as the show was airing! Art was primarily handled by Dave Alvarez and my pal @neals.bsky.social. Great cartooning in these!

Cat's Don't Dance is better than nearly every WB animated film that came after, and it was the one WB had the absolute least to do with.
A moment to appreciate the animated movies that are rarely talked about.

Animaniacs, a show Paul Rugg wrote for during its entire run, was edutainment in every sense of the word. The idea that childrens TV *can't* educate is at best an extremely flawed one (I do agree that it shouldn't be a necessity however).

Ever wonder where your missing socks end up? Well some say the Sock-King goes out at night, gathering all the spare socks it finds behind dressers, under beds and inside dryers to add to it's collection.

i’m kind of amazed at how this is just the crudest, most obvious n****rbaiting you can imagine. “the people you don’t like, yeah, they are responsible for everything bad.” and it works!

They're both, in a lot of ways. Most of our best TV animation wouldn't exist without that studio serving as an inspiration point. On the flip side, most of the worst tendencies within TV animation were also popularized by that studio (assembly-line outsourcing being maybe their biggest crime).
You know know, I really wish people started seeing Hanna-Barbera as "the studio that saved the goddamn American animation industry from collapse and revolutized a new animation industry". But most will just see them as "the studio that made cheap cartoons".

Worse, they aren't even truly live-action most of the time! Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo and Beauty & the Beast utilize so much CG, right down to major characters in each being CG, that there's more animation in then than there is live-action.
'live action' adaptations of animation projects offends me. setting aside the cultural disrespect toward animation on a whole, it's a fundamental dismissal of animation as narrative -- the point of drawing is inherently allegorical and abstract. the metaphorical nature of animation IS the story
