I'm trying to catch up on some of my newsletters this Saturday and am really enjoying how sassy @brianklaas.bsky.social gets. Last week it was the McLaren owner parking illegally, and this week it is the so-called luminaries.

I saw the Orion Nebula and Andromeda on my birthday and took a shot with my📱

Jupiter and its moons were so visible. Betelgeuse is the red dot to the right and the Orion is just above that. Pleiades wasn't very visible to the naked eye but I'm happy with the result ✨

One of the advantages of living here is the opportunity to do such things even for a long weekend.

As we mark another #TolkienReadingDay2024, the theme of service and sacrifice resonates deeply with me. Last year, I was in Ethiopia with the UN Refugee Agency to assist displaced hundreds of thousands of people.

This year, I decided to leave my job and support my partner in Fiji 🇫🇯
