Kamui is so relentless in how it breaks down the romanticization of Samurai and Bushido. It really is a shame that Sucker Punch buys into the myth wholesale

I guess to sum up: it's more streamlined, for better or worse? I don't think it's a bad first entry, but you're in for a bigger investment than starting with the original.

Nearly every case in GAA1 has loose threads. I'm not sure how many of those get resolved in the first entry and how many are saved for the sequel.

In general, GAA1 feels like half of a much larger adventure game. Past entries have a lot more exploration/flavor text, and I've been missing that here

Still hard to say.The cast is pretty good, and they've done a lot to guide the player through the process of information gathering and deduction. As a veteran player, it almost feels too guided lol.

The real reason I'm not sure I'd recommend it is because it's less episodic than past entries (1/2)

Aim for the Ace! is the kind of show where knuckles scraping against pavement erupt into stylized blood blossoms. The good stuff.
