Is setting the vertex position to NaN even more performant than setting it outside of the clipspace? The latter is what I usually did. I never thought setting something to NaN on purpose. Sounds dangerous 😅. I guess it would discard the whole triangle then if just 1 vertex is NaN, which is nice.

It depends on the gogo loco version. But it only ever breaks when private spaces are enabled. That's why I made it optional. But it is an instance wide setting. If the instance owner decides to turn it on, it can not be turned off again (wouldn't want to drag people out of private spaces)

I experience the same problem a lot. But per-group statuses might overcomplicate things for the more casual user (also thinking about the UI here). I wish I had a good solution.

Another thing I sometimes miss is an "invisible" status... because going red somehow feels awkward, too.

I'll keep it in mind for a future update. Although, the fireplace still feels a little close. I have to think about it. The aquarium I could see even with the other options.

There is also a way to sort of restrict it to a volume: Put it on a convex mesh, make a copy of that mesh and put a ShadowCaster material on the copy with Cull Front. Here you can get said ShadowCaster shader:
