Honestly I really for the blue jays and their fans. Toronto is one of my favorite cities in the world. What an incredible team and organization, i hope they win a title soon. BUT i hope that george springer and preferably also don mattingly have nothing to do with that title. everyone else is cool.

four teams won more regular season games than the dodgers did this year, and the dodgers had to beat three of them to win the world series, and had to advance through an extra round compared to those three teams to get the opportunity to do so. honestly one of the more impressive title runs ever.

Randy Johnson also pitched in relief in game 7 and got the win in 2001 after starting game 6 and winning it, but it’s like “of course he did that, it’s Randy Johnson”. I mean, are we already at the point in his young career where the rejoinder is “of course he did that, it’s Yoshinobu Yamamoto”?

Look I know it’s only been two years in MLB but especially if you consider his previous track record in Japan, Yoshinobu Yamamoto has got to be well on the way to making a case to be one of the great playoff pressure performers in the history of this sport
