This is why I want General Jar Jar getting brought out of retirement to tee up against Thrawn. Because if you look at everything, Jar Jar was elbows deep in a ton of shit. And Thrawn is gonna badly misread that.

There's gonna be niche insider groups that'll know it on sight, but your average Imperial is gonna go "Why the hell did the description just read 'busted-ass YT-1300?' Do they not understand that's ALL of them?"

Honestly if I had to pick between the two? I'd probably pick big E. He at lest kept his hands off the wheel unyil humanity was self destructing. Granted he makes tons of terrible decisions after that.

Yep. It's like if your party pisses off a high level mage with Clone and Magic Jar. Sure, you killed him, but he has a new body, and just has to grab some new kit from his armory, because unlike the party, he invested in some land, and has a half dozen apprentices making stuff.

My main concern is that then the primary authority becomes the police, ICE, and large corporations. Which I am less a fan of.

It is! Art is tricky, but when you really commit to improvement, you generally see enornous strides up to a point (once you're improcing fiddly details it's less noticeable overtly, but peoples' brains will still detect it, even if they don't understand what they see).

This has the added benefit of actually feeling like the kinda BS the CIA would get up to.

It could be, but the intonation and pacing feels off from how I'm used to hearing him speak. Plus you'd think if they paid money for his voice, they'd want to advertise it.
