Hi @bsky.app

If you want this to be a global platform, how about trending topics reflecting the other 96% of the world's population?

The domination of this site by American news and American topics is one of its greatest drawbacks

Hell, even old Elon manages to get this right

Had the great pleasure of attending a play at the Mordialloc Theatre Company last night. If you are a local like me pop in an support our local Theatre. If you aren't local, find the local Theatre Company near you and pop in and give them a bit of support.

I take pride that I contributed to the outcry around the original decision not to investigate. Very glad a proper investigation is to take place.

In 1955 the Labor party split when a breakaway RW Catholic faction became the DLP.

In 2025, I predict that Senator Price and her backers [incl. Gina Rinehart] will split the Liberal Party.

And the Liberals may also be in the political wilderness for 23 years. #auspol

Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price warned against more 'surprise' moves
NT Labor claims Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price's defection is driven by "ego", while a long-time politics watcher labels the move a "considerable gamble".

Hey Dutton, we haven’t forgotten your attacks on Welcome to Country ceremonies. Don’t treat Australians like fools. You walked out on the apology, and destroyed a generation worth of reconciliation with your No campaign based on cruel lies. This is your legacy. You can’t undo it now.

Okay. So now it appears the Libs have totalled not one, not two, but three campaign trucks in the past three days. And in releated news, the rhetorical 'irony' and 'metaphor' are missing presumed dead. #asupol #election2025

‘Why not?’
‘Mainly because at this moment I can’t remember if it’s the one we backtracked on, the one we backflipped over, the one we said we’d modify, or the one that we took behind the shed and quietly bludgeoned to death’

The Coalition is at risk of losing more seats to independents following 2022's "teal wave", with the regional electorates of Cowper, Calare and Monash likely won by independents

It's according to an Accent Research/RedBridge MRP conducted between February & April, revealed by News Corp this morning

While the two-party preferred numbers are steady, the prime minister’s approval rating has improved, as have Labor’s chances in marginal seats.

Human kindness still exists ♥️

Norway just entered a bill to give transgender Americans asylum in the country of Norway…

Kin folk said, Pete, move away from there
Said, Sydney is the place you oughta be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved to Kirribilli
