This is such an intentional and blatant destruction of programs created to level the playing field for students from low income/ underserved/ marginalized backgrounds. They mean to keep everyone “in their place”. Only the elite privileged kids will have access.

Studies show that funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) contributed to 354 of 356 drugs (99.4%) approved by the FDA from 2010 to 2019. Recklessly slashing NIH funding will mean that patients will be waiting much longer for life-saving treatments.

Tonight Senate Republicans will try to ram through a budget that sets the stage for huge tax cuts for billionaires — all while Trump and Musk continue to cut vital public services for all other Americans.

We'll be fighting back all night and proposing amendments to stop this betrayal.

I am begging all high school history teachers: review the three branches of government & checks and balances tomorrow.

It's an unobjectionable civics lesson that will come in handy over the next few weeks as students witness things unfolding before them, when you'll need to explain much, much more.
