Good news is I'm going to Birmingham to see friends tomorrow. Thinking about taking a VCR to do something special for the holidays, showing them the Star Wars Holiday Special for their first time, thanks to the bootleg copy I bought off Ebay almost 30 years ago.

Yeah I pre-ordered the hardcover from my mail order comic guy.
I hate ordering the tabloid reprints from him because of the difficulties of shipping, but the closest physical store to me though is like a 45-50 minute drive in a direction I never go. So I buy them whenever I luck upon them.

I do remember it from my time doing comics retail, but just because I had an "off the street" customer come in and set up a pull list just for that miniseries

My late wife loved that show, and Piper was her favorite. We went to a Wizard World Nashville that Holly Marie Combs was appearing at. At the con, we got incorrect info and missed her photo op. We happened to catch her at her booth later, explained what happened, and she made it right. Lovely lady

As early as like 1975 or so, my small hometown that's roughly halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta had cable tv, but in those early days, it was just the local PBS & CBS stations, the ABC & NBC stations from Birmingham, the ABC, CBS, & NBC stations in Atlanta, and 3 pr 4 independent stations.

I got everything put away except for some short sleeve shirts, and I still have to make the bed with clean sheets. My back let me know it was break time before I could get finished though. Hopefully it will ease up in a little bit and I can get finished.

Of course when I get home I'll have an hour of work to hang up what needs to be hung up, put away the rest, and make my bed with clean sheets. At least it will be done.
