In 1985-6, I found a copy of the Legion of Super-Heroes tabloid with the Lightning Lad/Saturn Girl wedding at my usual comic store on sale for $0.50, but my mother wouldn't let me buy it because its size made it hard to store.

After seeing @vinsonlovescomics.bsky.social post earlier, I decided to dig out my 2 Mike Grell sketches. Mr. Grell did an in-store appearance in 2013 or 2014 at the comic store I managed in Birmingham, and he did these for me and my late wife. I do need to get them framed and hung in my comic cave

The vet let me bring Ellie home today! We have to go back next Tuesday to have her stitches removed, but she seems to be feeling well. She's been very loving tonight, getting petted while she's curled up on my lap. (I'm sharing an older photo because of the way her fur is shaved)

One of my favorite characters is the Helena Wayne version of Huntress, and I've been attempting to collect all her appearances. Last week while on vacation, I hit the local comic stores on a bad weather day and found the final 28 Wonder Woman v1 issues I was missing, so I grabbed them all.

I'm really missing my late wife Courtney tonight. Halloween was always a favorite day for us. This is us from about 15 years ago at the beach.

My sweet little girl Ellie isn't doing well tonight. She has cancer, and I'm afraid we're approaching her final days. My late wife and I adopted her and her litter mate a little over 15 years ago, and she was my wife's favorite lap kitty. I hope she's not suffering, but she's struggling.

This is Ellie. We got the bad news last Wednesday that Ellie has cancer. She is also dealing with an infection that requires antibiotic treatment twice a day. She doesn't like the antibiotic, so as she feels better from it, she is fighting me more and more when I administer it to her.
