When R.F.K., Jr., says that Americans are “the sickest people on earth,” he does not acknowledge that the nations at the top of the health-care rankings all have two things he doesn’t like: universal health care and comprehensive vaccine programs.
The Dangers of R.F.K., Jr.,’s Measles Response
The H.H.S. Secretary has touted over-the-counter remedies and stressed that the decision to vaccinate is “personal.”

Trump is doing by executive order what he is too weak to do by legislation.

He does not have the votes in Congress.

He wouldn't be able to get ANY of this passed if he tried.

He is the WEAKEST incoming president in 50 years.

It should alarm us all that sitting U.S. Congress members are being denied entry to the Department of Education.

These are our government representatives, they should be able to walk into a department of our government.

Capitalism relies on workers (us) and consumers (also us). Which is why worker strikes and consumer boycotts are so effective. Support striking workers and unions, and support boycotts of organizations whose policies and practices hurt people, the environment, and our democracy.

Even though Trump said during his 2024 campaign that he was not affiliated with #Project2025, evidence of the project’s agenda can be seen throughout the beginning of his second term. A politics professor explains: https://buff.ly/4jO1udE (Zachary Albert @brandeisuniversity.bsky.social) #polisky
Trump’s administration seems chaotic, but he’s drawing directly from Project 2025 playbook
Many of Trump’s executive orders mirror plans laid out in Project 2025, a conservative policy plan developed in part by the Heritage Foundation.

Trump's promise to dismantle the Education Department will likely be more costly for red states than blue.

Trump states, on average, use more federal funding in their education apportions than states that voted for Vice President Harris. www.axios.com/2025/02/05/t...
Trump-voting states have more to lose if Education Department dismantled
States that voted for Trump receive more federal education funds than those that voted for Harris.

Federal funding makes up 33% of U.S. nonprofit revenue. A freeze could cripple essential services like foster care, disaster relief and homeless shelters. Two nonprofit scholars explain:
Nonprofits that provide shelter for homeless people, disaster recovery help, and food for low-income Americans rely heavily on federal funding – they would be reeling if Trump froze that money
Federal grants and contracts are a major source of funding for nonprofit services in the US.
