It’s rare that I cry over books - even though I’m an avid reader and get pulled into them deeply, for some reason they don’t tend to make me cry actual tears.

My 5yo just informed me that when he's a grown-up, he's going to marry me. But he's going to be the "girl one" and I'm going to be the "boy one". I love that he loves me so much, but there's... a few things in the way of that happening...

I had a very realistic dream during a nap today in which I died - like, I fully believed for a few seconds before I woke up that I was in the final moments of life. It's somewhat comforting that my very last thought - in my dream at least - was just a simple "bye..."
