I think it is interesting how many conservative legislators are finding their principles right about the time they qualify for a full lifetime Congressional pension.

Yesterday was the post-CBP invasion call with Siembra NC. It was announced that CBP was coming the Charlotte on Nov. 14th. In the days that followed, 4500 people showed up for online training and in JUST 4 DAYS, 1500 people got in-person verifier training in the Triangle alone.

The folks here in North Carolina are PISSED.
We've got cruel cowards who love what is happening but they're cheering from the comfort of their couches or stupidly oversized trucks. The folks actually in the streets are the ones who are opposed to ICE & CBP. And we outnumber the fuckers. By a lot.

This is pretty amazing. This guy just won a solid victory in Bucks County, PA, one of the most important swing counties in the country, by *explicitly and deliberately* making his race *all about* nationalizing ICE raids. Confirms the point about this now being a winning issue for Dems.

Durham public schools absolutely *teeming* this morning with parents, grandparents, and community members making students feel welcome and safe and saying Fuck ICE.
The rapid, grassroots response my community demonstrated for our neighbors is why we're going to win. My patrol area was relatively small but there were a couple dozen folks who showed up in the middle of the day on Tuesday to keep others safe.
Tonight, as the sun set in Durham, while hundreds more joined patrols in Charlotte, courageous local officials, people of faith, and community leaders gathered to say: Enough is enough.

Asheville is THE crunchiest hippie city in North Carolina. There was a huge chickenpox outbreak at a local private school in 2019 because 72% of the students were unvaccinated. And the Asheville airport is not a huge regional hub, so this was probably a local calling him this. IN FUCKING ASHEVILLE.

Charlotte is a boring, gentrified city built around the banking sector that has gotten increasingly more safe as long as I have been alive. It doesn't even have the biggest immigrant population in N.C.
