I know gigabit internet is nothing new, but I marvel at the fact that in 15 minutes I can pull what would have taken *8 months* when I was a kid on my first internet connection. Magic, tbh.

Someone in the esports photog discord was diving into Darktable, so I decided to try it out too. The docs are hella outdated and the UI is inscrutable, but capabilities are impressive. This clean of a fix for mono-color lighting would be a nightmare in other software, but DT did it with two sliders.

It almost didn't happen, too! Only caught two clicks with the game up, before it swapped over to the Champion graphic! Not a bad shot either, but definitely doesn't hit the same.

One of our goals this year was to have a stronger emphasis on showing the community. The C in the FGC is no buzzword. People don't go to Evo because it's big, it's is big because of the people that come together at Evo.

And I don't want to drop too many screenshots but this part really jumped out at me. The value of familiarity, and the way it allows us to bypass uncertainties in communication. You can extrapolate this to so many things ... design, development, team-building...
