The first snow over the backyard native garden. It feels so much like being in a little park instead of the soulless lawn it was before. (The fencing is to keep feral cats from having easy access to birds.)

Our small wildlife pond finally filled to the top after much needed rain this fall. It’s had grey tree frog tadpoles every summer since first dug a few years ago.

A two-spotted Scoliid Wasp (Scolia dubia ssp. dubia) visiting late boneset last year. I can’t get over that stunning wing color!
