To be loved is to be changed. Back when he was still a fat-faced feral, old Sadface here was first loved by his community feeder, Emerson. She rescued him and took him to the vet when he developed a blockage and stopped eating. She saved his life then, so he could enjoy the life he has now.

While this is true, please bear in mind that this also applies both ways. If we destroy the constitution ourselves in the process of fighting fascism, then we have become the very thing we are trying to fight.

I’ve always said that my destiny in life is to be the guy version of the stereotypical “crazy cat lady” - single at age 50, vibing at home with my half-dozen indoor (and likely a lot more outdoor) cats, just living my life unconcerned about the thoughts of others.
“You’re going to end up all alone with just a bunch of cats” isn’t quite the insult you think it is! 😹

That’s not quite my argument. My argument is that whether you ARE the yes-man or simply replaced by a yes-man, then end result is still the same. The agenda still gets pushed through. I’m not interested in assigning blame. I want to prevent what’s happening.

Not saying he’s under duress. I was more making the point that we can no longer count on the federal government to save itself. MAGA holds all the cards. Only the will of the People, acting in unison, can counteract this nation’s slide into authoritarianism.

My point is this: resistance from within cannot hope to stop what’s happening by themselves. They need the collective will of the American People on their side, collectively expressing their outrage in unison, to have a hope of reversing this slippery slope to fascism.

Democrats need to understand that if they acquiesce to the elimination of Article I and the power of the purse they will have crossed the rubicon. There will be no going back, nothing they can do in the future to stop many of us from trying to remove them from office

Happy #caturday from Stumpy, the neighborhood stray I’ve been befriending! I was able to trap and fix her year-old kitten in January, but she’s been pretty skittish until recently. Last week she turned up one night and has been returning to beg for food and attention every day since.
