I’m guessing that this might be the old course at Walton Hall Gardens where I spent my formative miniature golf years.
Readers of my first book Tilting at Windmills may be interested to learn that the inner sleeve of @warringtonruncorn.com’s new LP depicts the ‘betong’ category of miniature golf course, as utilised in international minigolf tournaments to this day. Hats off to that dead town planner!

Just watched two amazing games of rugby league - Leeds v St Helens (never seen an end like that) and Broncos v Panthers in Australia. As someone who loves most sports, I’m coming to the conclusion this is the best in the world.

Found this by @andywislon.bsky.social when I was sorting through my late dad’s stuff. I can’t imagine @theguardian.com even mentioning the closure of a Rugby League ground nowadays, never mind devoting almost a full page to it.
