Yesterday, I had a medical procedure at Duke Hospital. The nursing team was wonderful: kind, compassionate, skilled. Almost all were from the Philippines. I nominated the lead nurse for an award (you can do this if a clinician provides extra special care). Immigration enriches & strengthens the US.

—All nations must “only rarely” grant citizenship to foreigners
—Immigration will “erase” Europe within 20 years and the US must act to prevent that

95% of MN Somalis are US citizens. 58% were born in the US. The only reason to target this community with immigration agents is for the sake of racial profiling and harassment - which the US supreme court says is legal now.

An experienced organizer I really respect once reminded folks "you can't always win, but you can always, always inflict a cost. Those add up."
You cannot match the size and resources of these organizations that are abandoning trans youth and sacrificing trans lives, but you have one advantage they do not: an ability to maintain a relentless focus upon them.
Make it your work, every week, to think about how you can punish them.

My boot camp training, taught by Vietnam-vets and POWs, is vivid nearly a half-century later. The US observes the laws of war not just because it is the moral thing to do, but it is the only way we can require our enemies to reciprocate. Murder on the high seas of shipwrecked men is indefensible.

Drug trafficking is not an act of war. This whole idea that these boats can kill millions of Americans is fantasy land. It's based on a fake statistic about fentanyl. And they're not going to the US and they're not carrying fentanyl.
It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.
But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.
The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.
