I’ve been to every hospital system in SA. Today’s the 1st time at University Hospital. Having the procedure to go into my pancreas, liver, stomach, upper GI. Lupus has attacked my pancreas causing chronic pancreatitis & Dr wants to check everything else & see how bad it all is. #LupusWarrior

So damn true. Every time one of the stars of my youth dies, I get smacked in the face that I’m getting up there in age.😐
Some ask "why are so many people mourning over Ozzy? People act like they knew the man!" It's not so much mourning over the man. It's mourning over a time in all of our lives that we can never go back to. Every song holds a place and time of a memory for us. Every song reminds us of our youth and our mortality. His music came at a time when we were teenagers or young adults. The time we felt carefree and life was endless. His songs were played at milestones in our lives, graduation parties, turning 21, weddings, driving your first car with the windows down and the music blaring. His family lost a husband, father, brother, son and friend. We just lost a little part of our youth. And today, July 30, 2025 - as the world watches his final procession through Birmingham - we say goodbye not only to the man, but to a piece of our own past.

I’m so over the 2020’s. We lost dad Jan 5, 2020, lost my bio dad 2021, lost an aunt and uncle in the last couple years, 2 months ago we lost mom to cancer on May 5, just found out my 25 yr old nephew was just diagnosed with testicular cancer. He just got engaged to his girlfriend 2 weeks ago.

5 weeks post op from reverse shoulder replacement, still in pillow sling 24/7 for another week, except showers & I’ve had to sleep inclined the whole time, another week to go. Never wanted to lay down so bad in my life.😩 Healing nicely.

Had 10 day post op appt today. Everything looks great, I have 0 shoulder pain, it’s fantastic. 4.5 more weeks in the pillow sling, then will have 2nd post op appt, sling comes off & physical therapy starts. You can see the med port in my right chest under the shoulder implants.

Surgery went well. Dr said Rotator cuff & joint were a mess so got reverse shoulder replacement. Block is still working so no pain yet, pain will hit me tomorrow. Not too gnarly looking.

2/2 She’s in pain & has gained 20 lbs of fluid in her abdomen. They’ve prescribed morphine. Unless things go downhill I need to be back for an appt May 9 with the GI specialist to get the procedure to go into my pancreas scheduled. This all fucking sucks. I’m both numb & reeling.
