Check out our new alien character playbook: the VERDANT!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is helping me realize my favorite genre, which I didn't know existed:

low-to-no-violence immersive open worlds

They're real. They're narrative. You can make potions, and fighting is weird and de-emphasized. I want to play a hundred thanks

Why winter road trips are the best

In the new Last Caravan expansions we're diving more deeply into our weird world, fleshing out the aliens and their culture. Nothing is more emblematic of that than THE VERDANT, our new alien biologist playbook! Be an alien! Have a backpack with a lil guy in it!

Cars, aliens, dogs -- and a road trip that will change the world. Get on the road.

Our latest campaign update includes some art reveal from the fantastic @nightjargames.bsky.social! This will be going in our dog-centric expansion Westward Bound, and we're obsessed.

Still working on this pitch packet for The Last Caravan but I'm liking it so far!

Can't stop staring at this animation. Box mockup by me (this is VERY MUCH a work in progress, the final version will be even cooler) and render and animation by Breno Macedo and Emanoel Melo!

Introducing our exciting new traveler imprint: the Singer! Lost Highway, a full hardcover expansion for The Last Caravan, will add at least 2 new traveler imprints, as well as GM-ready scenarios and tools for deepening the game. I'm so excited for y'all to see it.

Not sure if any folks I know will be there, but I'm in Seattle for Worldcon and would love to say hi to any TTRPG folks and other cool genre folk!

One requested feature for the Last Caravan expansion was deepened caravan creation. How can we set up these family stories for success and resonance?

Here's a table of potentially terrible things your family might have dealt with:

@nightjargames.bsky.social, the secret force who's singlehandedly keeping the entire TTRPG scene going, contributed wonderful illustrations to the book. We adored this one so much that we made it the first illustration in the book.

The aliens of The Last Caravan, here depicted by @jamesfirnhaber.bsky.social, are meant to be intelligent, admirable beings driven to desperation by crises of their own. Their musical nature and their quasi-magical powers of Harmonics are inspired by my composer background and love of music.

A small story behind The Good Boi archetype -- this piece of art is explicitly in honor of Cèilidh -- @darkplanedm.bsky.social's wonderful, big-hearted dog, who passed away during the development of the game. It means so much to us that she's part of so many journeys now.

@jamesfirnhaber.bsky.social brought life to our cast of character archetypes -- from the awestruck Stargazer to the helpful Bandage to the loyal Good Boi. My favorite is the Innocent (bottom center) followed closely by the Lookout (bottom right)

Spencer Hawkes' brings to life her some more of that vibe. As opposed to the desolate apocalypses you might find in Children of Men or The Last of Us, The Last Caravan has a sense of humanity and humor. It's about goofy imperfect people thrown into a transformed world, finding heroism in extremis.

I've been toying for years with a story about a midwinter road trip in the wake of an alien invasion. @darkplanedm.bsky.social saw some ideas and encouraged me to make it a reality. It really came to life with Jeff Langevin's incredible cover -- melancholic, wholesome, stark, and beautiful.

I didn't expect The Last Caravan would be nominated for such incredible awards -- Best Game & Product of the Year -- at the Ennies, but if you wanna vote you can do so here!

If you don't know much about us, here's a bit about the game and what we love about it:

Hey @mdpenman.bsky.social I adored "Poacher of Men" in the Book for Fuligin. So kinetic and filled with striking ideas
