we can talk about how men's feelings are hurt by patriarchy when there are no more fucking murdered women
"A woman was found dead in a puddle of blood outside her workplace after Minnesota authorities say she was shot by a co-worker.
The co-worker, 36-year-old Michael Carpenter, faces a murder charge in the death of Nicole Hammond, 28, according to the St. Cloud Police Department."

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

I've often thought that the best revenge for all this fashy misery would be affordable social housing, workers rights, a functional health service, sustainable energy and all the other good stuff they apparently hate. But I do keep glancing thoughtfully at lampposts.
With genuine shame, recent years in politics have given me my first taste for what it is to have moralised contempt for my opponents. Not hatred, not fear; contempt. There's some core element of the right wing coalition at the moment which seems to me best described as a revolt of the loser men...

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

HELLO the "israeli" government is passing a bill that allows them to execute "terrorists" in prison.

they see EVERY PALESTINIAN or brown person as a "terrorist"

they are going to round people up, put them in camps and kill them.

we need to be louder about this.

Yes and yet several European countries are embracing a far-right worldview that would burn these policies to the ground, so let’s be not be smug or complacent here - particularly as Mamdani‘s pro-immigration stance is radical by European standards.

Wikipedia has a mild conservative bias, as it insists on what it calls 'reliable sources' - which mostly means they have been published by capitalist gatekeeping institutions.

The only reason anybody imagines that it has a liberal or left-wing bias is because it's largely accurate. They hate that.
