Credit: Family Handout NEED TO KNOW A 47-year-old nurse from England went to the emergency room complaining of "crushing" chest pains Paula Ivers was sent home that same day with a diagnosis of indigestion; she subsequently died three days later from an aortic dissection Ivers' partner, Simon Norbury, said, "We were shocked to have lost her when we were told it was indigestion and there was nothing to worry about," per U.K. outlet the Metro, adding that Ivers told doctors her pain was Ivers' ECG scan came back as abnormal, but Dr. Osama Ahmed considered her as "low risk," the outlet stated. He told the inquest he now realizes that was not the case, and she should have been hospitalized immediately. Ivers' partner, Norbury, said, "We were shocked to have lost her when we were told it was indigestion and there was nothing to worry about," per the Metro. He added that Ivers had told a doctor that her pain was "severe," rating it an "eight or nine out of 10," the Manchester Evening Dr. Osama Ahmed made the decision to send Ivers to the hospital's Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, despite not knowing her family history or examining her himself, the outlet noted. Day #157: Star Wars (1977)
A black metal lunchbox with a red handle. You know, the one where Obi-Wan waves his hand and says, "these aren't the droids you're looking for..." and does that Jedi mind trick? Oh man, so cool, such a great scene. Ahh honestly makes me wanna go back and re-watch the original trilogy. I wish I still had that VHS copies from when I was a kid. I was so psyched for the special editions that came out in 1997, especially RotJ, I called every Blockbuster in Rochester but none of them had it! My copy was actually a version taped off HBO by my aunt who mailed it to me, but there were several moments edited out so I didn't see the whole, uncut version until like 1998 or so, but it was totally worth it. So good, and I don't care what anyone says, that whole Battle on Endor was so sick, Jedi rules. Ok also there is a blue plastic thermos next to it with the droids on it

PHOTO: REUTERS SEOUL - For generations of South Korean students, college admission has been more than an academic milestone. It has been the gateway to social mobility, job stability and lifelong status. Now, in an unprecedented shift in education policy, flagship national universities across the country, including its most prestigious Seoul National University, have begun rejecting applicants with records of school violence. According to data obtained by minor Rebuilding Korea Party's lawmaker Representative Kang Kyung-sook's office, six of South Korea's 10 national flagship universities turned away 45 applicants in the 2025 admissions cycle due to records of school violence. The rejections included two applicants to Seoul National University and 22 to Kyungpook National University. Kyungpook introduced a strict, point- based penalty system for assessing disciplinary history this year. The trend will become a new normal - all universities in the country will be required to factor school violence records into admissions beginning in 2026. "This is just the beginning," one admissions officer said. "The bar is rising and (school violence aggressors) are expected to take more responsibility."
