Ten years ago today, we lost a King. I have the honor of writing music for a documentary that will feature Blake Brockington's story, and many other trans voices. The title asks the question "What Will I Become?" and is an reflection on trans masculinity and society's expectations of masculinity.

Composer Sofia Gubaidulina has passed at 93. I got to play in the ensemble as Lauren Martin performed Concerto for Bassoon and Low Strings. Another ensemble member had the honor of meeting Gubaidulina at a previous performance. A force to be reckoned with! www.youtube.com/live/IaYanJV...

The only way to sneak up on their orbital without them seeing a directional drive signature would be a slingshot maneuver! Too bad there aren't any nearby moons, and the only other ship we have access to is a big old ice hauler with kilometers of high tensile strength cables...
