This post made me realize that my recurring donation to my regional food bank stopped happening in August when someone made fraudulent charges on my card and I needed it replaced. Set up a new recurring donation. This foodbank helps support my more local one in Alliance, OH, where my MIL volunteers.

My chihuahua banana is muppet potato stoic unemployed 0% wolf.

The "tremble vs. stoic" thing throws one off, because on the whole chihuahua are very tremble, but banana gets reviews that she is a surprisingly stoic individual.

And this one shows genres I have read. I don't feel like this is entirely accurate. For example, I know I have read novels in verse and I am not sure whether the app tags them as poetry (or whether it should). Also wondering about the difference btwn fantasy and scifi and sometimes horror.

This screen shows length of book/duration of audiobook. There is a similar chart showing fiction vs. nonfiction I've read, but I read vastly more fiction which is obvious from my genres so it seemed superfluous.

This week I finished my 100th book of this year, so I decided I would share some of my reading stats. I use @thestorygraph.com for this.

This first screenshot shows how many books/pages I've read and how many audiobooks/minutes I've listened to. It also shows the book "moods."

Kids around the corner are selling balloons. (Last year they sold paper airplanes.) I had no cash but they insisted on giving me a freebie, so now I am walking the dog all over the the neighborhood while carrying this lovely, um, sword.

You know kids will become obsessed with the Titanic disaster or the Bermuda Triangle or whatever? I would like to thank @firemuseummd.bsky.social for making my nephew into a Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 kid.

I already enjoyed the whole book, but I especially enjoyed this last paragraph of the acknowledgments at the end.

(the book is "Payal Mehta's Romance Revenge Plot" by Preeti Chhibber)

I went to bed at eleven, so I am replying to all "Happy New Year" texts with "Good morning" over coffee and cinnamon rolls.

My resolution is to take this year one day at a time.
