fwiw I hate it when Abundance types raise bat barns or newt corridors as the "problems" to be solved. That misses the point about why nature is so diminished in the first place. We should be restoring nature as an infrastructure investment just as important as houses and railways

I understand concerns about Abundance agenda, but John's diagnosis seems partly correct. There *are* agencies with overlapping, contradictory & vague mandates, & this feels deliberate by IE government that hates taking responsibility. Surely room for reform around delivery of clearer societal goals?

- Kilruddery house and gardens (easy from Dublin by public transport)
- national botanical gardens at Kilmacuragh
- Mt Ushers
And a wonderful garden centre in Birr, Co. Offally: Woodland Cottage. Bonus: nearby is the Leviathan of Parsonstown
