Man, big late-game endorsement from Eric Adams to help propel the Zohran Mamdani at the finish line!
My first-ever NBA game, and it featured 5 (at least) future HOF players, and a home win to boot. Crazy to look back on those memories after tonight.

SGA is the real MVP. Last night was approx. 43 min. of virtually nothing going right for OKC on offense, and (despite very strong defensive schemes against Haliburton and the Pacers) very little going their way on D. And then, in clutch time, SGA broke through to close out the game. Legendary stuff.

I work for a small law firm (as the records clerk, not an attorney) - just texted one of my attorney friends at the firm:
“Found our next case: it’s a medical malpractice case, with damages currently estimated at $9.6 trillion and climbing”

…it’s almost like hiring top-ranking officials on the basis of slavish loyalty and devotion to a Cult of Personality, rather than on the basis of their qualifications for the jobs for which they’re being hired, leads to a bunch of dumb, easily-avoidable mistakes. Almost. 😅

I’m a couple of days late on this, but - if you possibly can, either in theaters (ideally), or via streaming - go see No Other Land. Outstanding exploration of the human implications of one of the most intractable, yet urgent, human rights matters of our day.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a triple chocolate cookie - it’s the frozen pizza that I put in the oven at 415° F for what was *supposed* to be 15 minutes. Then, I fell asleep and promptly cremated it for approx. 2 hrs. and 15 min. 😭

For me, it’s Rila Monastery, founded by St. Ivan of Rila c. 927 CE and located approx. 70 miles (~113 km) south of Sofia. The mix of natural beauty, architectural and artistic beauty, historical significance, and religious devotion on display there is like nothing I’ve ever experienced elsewhere.
