Did you know that 7 out of 10 Canadians in provincial jail have no conviction, awaiting trial, and thus are legally innocent?

I’m surprised we don’t acknowledge more broadly how scandalous jail conditions are in Canada — leading to more criminality.

This is a fundraiser to help those affected by the wildfires in Northern Canada this year. 2025 is showing signs of being the 2nd worst fire season in years, with nearly 4 million hectares having burned by early June from almost 2000 fires. Tens of thousands have been forced to evacuate and many northern communities have suffered extensive damage. And that was just the beginning as most years' fire seasons only really start in July or August. Our fundraiser will have an emphasis on Indigenous communities, as they are the most affected, with 100% of our proceeds going to charities via the Nii'kinaaganaa Foundation non-profit.

I used to make a small side hustle designing book covers for indie authors. As soon as AI art started gaining momentum I haven't had a single new customer. Couldn't even make chump change on Fiverr anymore if I tried. It sucks!!
