Priest, start up founder (CHURCHx.ca, askcathy.ai, ecclesia.ai), sailor, dad. I spend a lot of time at the intersections of faith and technology. I can be found on Sundays at St. John the Baptist, Toronto (Anglican) and on weekdays at CHURCHx.ca .
My father, Chuck Moss, passed away this week. He was a fascinating man, and our relationship was complicated, but I owe so much to him. He taught me that I could learn to do anything. obituaries.virginiacremate.com/obituaries/c...

I started my presentation at #aarsbl2025 with a land acknowledgement. I think this is a really important practice and would commend it to you all for 2026.

My first paper presented at #AARSBL25 went well. It was a wild day, though. All AI all day. The rooms were all packed.

Thinking about “Bull Durham” while watching this #bluejays game. This one of those movies you should watch at different stages of your life. The experience as a teenager vs young man vs middle aged.

Last week I attended an extraordinary conference on AI and Faith. Deep, rich reflection from many angles, yet it all consolidated around the urgent need for faith response rooted in anti-colonialist methodologies.

The architecture and art of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis is stunning. I never been to a more beautiful and well thought out church.

I’m proud of my summer student who presented his portfolio of work today to our local MP (it’s a gov’t funded position). He did well this summer as our research assistant for AI and theological pedagogy.

I made this workbench today, and it is both rock-solid and (despite appearances) perfectly level. Nice to complete a long-desired project.

I was pleased to teach about AI and teaching faith at ATS Pathways meeting last week. TL;DR AI is having big impacts on education, generally, and specific implications for Theological / Faith formation that deserve consideration.

We had our Non-Profit’s Annual General Meeting today. Truly impressive work our 132yo org is doing: grants, loans, consulting, real estate management, property stewardship, and technology development. Https://tucc.ca

Anyone else thinking about the “War Scroll” from Qumram these days? Just me? Seems relevant. Good vs evil. Angelic intervention. Uncertain outcomes. Cosmic importance? ⚓️
