I’m getting my hair done for a wedding and this lady is straightening my hair with a roll brush and a blow dryer and now I’m sad thinking about Kamala Harris

It’s fine, I needed a little cry this morning.
Taylor is so fantastic. And I’ve never worked with anyone with a better work ethic and attitude or who has been more organized. Maybe equally (we have really focused and kind team members), but never better.

Also, Waynesboro is now well-repped at @mississippifreepress.org!
OPINION: " Nate Schumann and I had been lab partners in high school, and he waited about three minutes after I moved back before asking me if I’d be interested in writing some columns," Hathorn writes.

You know what, this is going on the grocery list for next week.
I ate a box of Annie's mac and cheese with cut up Nathan's hot dogs like a third grader. 10/10

Folks, I don't intend to post about every single horrible thing that's happening at the moment because I'm not a direct news source and also because my mental health has an upper limit. Don't confuse lack of obsessive news updating for lack of concern or lack of personal action. Also, here's a cat.

Used this article tonight in my Comp II class to talk them through objectivity in source material. 🫶🏻

“But before we can make our country live up to those ideals, we must first pause the star-spangled poetic waxing long enough to admit that it currently does not.” 🔥
After evading any punishment for his crimes, Donald Trump will once again assume the awesome powers of the president.

One of the awesome powers presidents have, at least in the United States, is that they are above the law and cannot even be prosecuted while in office.

My latest editor's note:
Editor’s Note | In America, Some Were Always Above the Law
We must acknowledge that some people have always been above the law in the United States, News Editor Ashton Pittman writes.

The amount of people who are mad about SMU and Clemson going to the playoffs over an Alabama that lost to *checks notes* unranked Vandy and Oklahoma… please be so serious.

People who complain that Jackson isn’t walkable really haven’t been with me and my bestie on a girls night out

Mississippians will believe anything that comes to their house on a mailer and says something about one candidate being more religious than the other, despite the fact that one of them has never sat on a bench…

My students do an “anything but an essay” assignment for their final project for my class, because of ✨ multimodal learning & transferability of skills ✨ but also because I love to grade things like TikToks, scrapbooks, and podcasts.

I’m going to slowly start trying to make the swing over here. So, hi! I’m Taylor. My old therapist told me once that I was her funniest and her most self-aware client, so this is the best endorsement I can give to persuade you to follow me.
