Yup, heard about this from friends in Guelph. Very upsetting. You spend money on infra and encourage people to use it, but then cut funding to keep it safe an useable all year? What a waste or resources and potential hazard. If anyone is injured as a result, they should call us.

FUND OUR SCHOOLS Your government keeps saying you want to give parents a voice. We are demanding to be heard. We need a fully funded education system with transparency and accountability. In Toronto there are 22 democratically elected trustees that have knowledge of their communities and community needs. It is an invaluable resource for parents and students. We don't need a call centre. Listen to parents. Maintain our trustees who are elected by us to support us and our children. FUND OUR SCHOOLS. WHAT IS BILL 33? Removes Local Control from Local School Boards The Ministry of Education now has the power to remove local control & public voice from school boards and their elected trustees without a non-partisan, third-party investigation, based only on their opinion of what "the public good" is. This means they could remove all local control and transparency from policy, program, and budget decision-making. WHAT IS BILL 33? Policing in Schools instead of investing in Real Student Supports. Province-wide, Special Education is underfunded by more than $850 million. Data from across North America shows that students with disabilities have significant negative impacts from school officer programs, and the 'safety' supports that are needed are social workers, child & youth workers, education support workers, and other professionals. REPEAL BILL 33 & REINSTATE TRUSTEES Call and email the Minister of Education 416-325-2600 Call and email Doug Ford 416-325-1941 Call and email your MPP: Say NO to removing transparency and nonpartisan reviews of school boards! This daytime shelter is a necessary resource for unhoused or precariously housed people of #Guelph. The city received a fantastic application from RCM and Stepping Stone, and to deny this opportunity would be a reckless and costly mistake.

How much worse will housing accessibility, accomodations, and security for disabled tenants be when landlords are further advantaged with faster eviction mechanisms and more opportunity for retaliation against us?

Pesky e-bike riders delivering food to people should be ticketed... @tps.ca there appears to be a double standard here because stopping in for some Jerk King, although delicious is not actively responding to an emergency.

The use of the lights here, while clever, is certainly inappropriate.
