Maybe instead of clinging to the need for constant growth, we should be thinking about how to build an economy that can thrive with a stable or even shrinking population.That might mean rethinking what “progress” looks like,not just more stuff, but better quality of life, sustainability, and equity.

Makes a lot of sense, and it shows how tied economic growth is to demographic trend. But it also feels like a fragile setup if growth depends on always having more people, what happens when that stops? Birth rates are declining in a lot of places, and we’re already seeing some cracks in the system
