All in all, @suckerpunchprod.bsky.social truly made me invested. I loved the combat updates and zone flavors. The music was beautiful. So grateful for lovely stories and the amazing, talented people making them

There were some things I predicted, such as the death of my favorite character, but the story is so well told I don’t care if it dabbled in occasional, predictable story structures. I hope Erika and Noshir get recognition for their great work, the story wouldn’t have worked without their chemistry

Also let’s be real. It also appears in the sentencing: this women should be on s*x offender lists, she should not be able to contact her daughter. Kendra sees herself as a victim and the police, documentary crew, and courts were willing to agree.

The amount of times I go to my local pet food store to get my dog treats and get chatted up by the staff there about how humans can eat the treats I picked (they know because they do) and that they think I should try them???

Also I just realized that I misspelled Craig Mazin’s name this entire thread 🫠

Regarding Ellie’s obsession with violence that Maizen constantly focuses on, I felt the most disappointed with the aftermath of the Nora interrogation scene. In #tlou2 Ellie is clearly shaken by what she did, and Dina’s love and assurance is pivotal in grounding her. The show undoes this badly imo.

Also, in terms of other game deviances, I think it’s wild to have Ellie and Dina’s first time together after they each admit their bombshells: pregnancy and immunity. Immunity is literally unheard of, and once Dina learns of it she never once asks Ellie to tell her more.

And while I think that it was always a little wild that Ellie would go all the way back to the OG hospital to learn the truth, having her learn the truth in the same night she tried to forgive Joel robs viewers of the thoughtfulness and yearning she’d been feeling for years in #tlou2

To me, this caused Jessie to lose much of his warmth and humor in the show because he’s always reduced to talking down to/chastising Ellie. And I love Young Mazino, but that’s not my Jessie from #tlou2

Also, he’s made her way more immature and less thoughtful. It essentially feels like she’s the youngest one in every interaction. That’s one thing for the first season of #tlou but in the second season it feels like there’s been no growth in the maturity department
