The more I think about the last couple of years of #DoctorWho the more I hope that future generations judge it sensibly because its not the worst of the show, it just wasn't good enough for the expectations riding on it

I reckon rather than focusing purely on Gods which got tiring quickly this past #DoctorWho era should have done more with fantasy folklore and myths. The show already did Goblins in the Church on Ruby Road

I will never understand why they decided to ruin and change both Sutekh and Omega when godlike figures such as the Gaurdians, Gods of Ragnarok, Fenric and Trickster are there to use and would fit much better

In my opinion Billie Piper's return is a real low point for #DoctorWho. It shows a reliance upon nostalgia and rehashing the past rather than actually pushing forward into new stories and feels incredibly desperate

Rewatching both the Mark of the Rani and Time and the Rani an observation I had was that the Rani loses all her interesting qualities by the second story. The layers of grey disappear and she becomes a generic pantomime villain

I don't buy that seeing Sutekh, the Rani and Omega come back is automatically confusing for modern fans. I would rather mine the history of the show for different threats than resort to the Daleks and Cybermen constantly. The trouble comes when old villains are reliant upon nostalgia

My main issue with the Bi-generation of the Rani is that it complicates things too much. The Rani needs to be re-established after not appearing for over 30 years. This is going to be hindered when you are dealing with two different versions of the character

Conceptally the Interstellar Song Contest looks really cringey and very silly. However the fact that its written by Juno Dawson gives me a lot of hope. I've listened to the first series of #DoctorWho Redacted which is really good. Its got a lot of human and relatable writing

Over the last week I think my opinon on Lucky Day has definatly soared. Its got some good ideas, the first half is fairly strong and Conrad is well potrayed as a villain. However I think the logic of the story simply collapses and the story falls apart as a result

I have to say I am getting a little annoyed with the constant teases towards Mrs Flood. Its too similar and too much of a repeat of Susan Triad in Season 1. Susan Triad was also much more smoothly intergrated into the series. It was subtle and slipped under the radar

I kind of hope Mrs Flood is the Rani just so we can see her and Mel have a reunion and go up against one another

I think Lucky Day has the potential to explore the fresh aftermath of the Doctor on a companions life in a way that hasn't been delved into before but I am cautious with Pete McTighe writing it. I liked his Tales of the Tardis episodes but his output in the actual show is very poor

The more I think about it the more I really like the Well and its possibly the best of Ncuti Gatwa's era so far. It nails the scare factor and creepiness of Doctor Who and uses the Midnight entity in new ways which does not diminish its mystery

I liked Lux a lot but one thing that continues to bug me is the representation of #DoctorWho fans as socially inept wierdos. It feels like an outdated steoreotype from the 80s and 90s
