The scale of child poverty is a national scandal.

This report highlights how poverty can bleed into every area of children's lives.

The government’s child poverty strategy must take children’s experiences into account and make urgent changes.

Out now! Sideways Sociology looks at three key figures in UK anti-racism – Sivanandan, Gerlin Bean, Len Garrison – and shows how they teach us what that term means and takes, and how they speak to sociology now. Feat. John Narayan, A.S. Francis, Hannah Ismael.

Just received news that 27 people have been arrested in Parliament Square under the Terrorism Act 2000 for holding signs saying "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action".
This is real police state behaviour.

It's always great to see youth work in a spending review. But this is a tiny amount of funding, much of which had already been committed, and doesn't make up for what's been lost. We urgently need funding to employ and support more grassroots youth workers, and bursaries for youth work uni courses.

‼️KCL management has demanded that the student Palestine encampment disband by 10 today or face disciplinary action. This is an unacceptable repression of their fundamental rights to protest and freedom of speech. We have written to management to call for dialogue over coercion

Solidarity with our KCL students, who have launched another encampment on the Strand Quadrangle, rejecting the university’s complicity in the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and demanding the demilitarisation of their education. Another world is possible!
