On the bright side, the story about not being able to quote the line is probably giving more attention to the line than just leaving it in would have. I mean, with the number of times he's been called the most corrupt, it is mostly just background noise now.

Relaxing?! It is a fight to the death! Fish vs keyboard! 😏

That said, I think an improvement would be to better match difficulty/complexity to the fish being caught. I'm not sure when it determines the fish (at bite or at catch), but most of my toughest fights have resulted in the most common fish.

Maybe the burritos are more artistic indulgence than primary power source.

The squirrels around here chirp and quack and have nests in the trees. Honorary birb confirmed.

Where is their article on how forced obsolescence is costing people? My mother needs a new laptop, not because there is a single thing wrong with hers after only 5 years, but because someone decided they need to sell more, so pushed a button and stopped it from functioning.

I don't know if this Claude thing is part of what they were talking about, but I saw a Grammarly ad the other week where they flat out said they'd help their customers beat AI detection methods used by schools. I was shocked they not only don't hide it, they market it directly as a feature.

Looked at other posts by this person. Seems it may be more a "paying for anything is bad"? I really can't tell what is going on.

Pff. They ditched that, didn't they.

Around when Google started, I worked in a special orders department for books. We'd often make use of search engines to track down rare copies or authors with limited prints. Google's search was so much better for our job than the others, it became our standard.

The phone# at the top is still able to be seen, just in case that is a problem and you want to remove the picture.

I can honestly say 'When the Moon Hits Your Eye' is my favorite of the books I've read from that list of nominees.
(It is also the only one I've read so far, but that doesn't change how much I enjoyed it. 😁)

Congrats to all authors for making the list no matter who wins. My TBR pile thanks you.

Are those only going to be things marked important *before* you turned off smart features, or will it continue to mark new email after. My fear is, that function is turned off now, too.

Because theirs do (when they have standards at all, that is).

Money, perception, and results.
Most all the big donors tend to gather behind the 2 big parties and, unfortunately, money means quite a bit in politics.
People often see a 3rd party vote in major elections as "wasted" at best.
And the executive branch is (for the most part) winner take all.
November 17, 2025 at 7:48 PM
I'm not sure there has ever been a time we were more in need of a system capable of supporting >2 viable parties. 🤦

Welcome, visitor. I hope you enjoy your stay (as much as a non-morning person can).

Technically, they said not a single *soul*. Which may be accurate.
November 16, 2025 at 11:51 AM
Because those who make such things don't actually like people. If they could, they'd probably replace everyone with an "AI" that would agree with them and do whatever they want. They already want to do away with employees and if "AI" could buy their products, they'd ditch the customers as well.

I think by now it is clear that companies and the very wealthy look at cautionary tales as places to get ideas. Torment Nexus and all that.
November 14, 2025 at 2:03 PM
And now it is, "not only do WE not want to feed people, we demand YOU stop feeding people, too!"

I've called some policies and actions cartoon-level exaggerated villany, but this...I mean, why even use any energy pretending you aren't the bad guy in the situation? Just lean all the way into it.

I think I've seen this movie.

Need to be consequences at some point, or they'll just keep doing it. Having a court reprimand them doesn't seem to have much effect. And if the person at the top can't have consequences because of SCOTUS-hallucinated total immunity, it needs to come down on others for following the bad orders.
November 6, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Worst part is, they have "rude" set to be hidden by default (I never changed the settings beforfe, so am guessing what I see is default), but "misinformation" just set to warn. So they think it is better to feed misinformation to people than to let them see something that is rude. What the heck.
November 6, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Fingers crossed.
November 6, 2025 at 12:33 AM
They give away the game with statements like wanting to keep PR voiceless. Heck, I'd be shocked if more than 30-40% of their party even know Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens.

I can certainly understand how the internet these days can lead one to the conclusion, "Nothing is real anymore! AAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

But yeah, my guess would be this is a real picture stolen by the poster to add on a made-up story.
