A year-long experiment in a wet tropical #forest found that 4°C of warming boosted soil CO2 emissions by 42-204%. These high rates suggest tropical #soils may release more #carbon under future warming than #climate models predict.

I’m crying… it has been so hard watching this happen to such talented scientists and civil servants and I really hope this leads to positions getting reinstated. There’s still reduction in force plans to get through, but this win feels good.
