Oh no! NSPCC isn’t doing personalised letters from Father Christmas this year 🥺 Such a shame - they were always so lovely, and for a great cause too.
Anyone have suggestions for alternatives that still support a good charity or do something special for kids?

In Jan 1875, a young servant asked for and was given a Friday night off.

She went home to see her boyfriend, who had five days leave, and he said... you should have more time off.

Harriet, the servant, agreed. She wrote to her employer and said "I will be back on Monday"

I've researched 5 names so far for a local WW2 memorial, but none died in direct combat:
- a training accident in Canada
- testing a bomber in high-altitude turbulence
- lost at sea aboard a mined minesweeper
- shot down by friendly fire on D-Day+1
- crashed into a harbour during a routine transfer
