When I was very young, my grandmother gave me coffee every morning. It was milk and sugar with just enough coffee to color it and dissolve the sugar. I still drink it with cream and sugar.

Yesterday I was at a hospital to give a deposition in a medical malpractice case. On my way out of the building, I saw a woman who resembled a friend. I smiled at her and said that I’d almost hugged her because I thought she was someone else. She smiled and said she actually needed a hug.
