Such sad news. The world is a little darker without Pierre Robert in it. He made the soundtracks for my best memories.
Longtime WMMR-FM host Pierre Robert was found dead in his home Wednesday. He was 70.
Beasley Media Group, the station’s parent company, announced Robert’s death in a statement, calling him a “true radio icon.”

1/Back in my rakish younger days, one of my guiding principles was that nothing good happens at 4:00 am. Responsible ppl are sleeping, the party's over, and cops are bored; a dangerous combo for a midnight toker. For older me, 4 am has a new purpose: Rare Visions and Roadside Revelations on PBS.

It's WIP Week for #showmeyourknits and hey this doesn't look very exciting. I have tried and failed to knit @isabellkraemer.bsky.social Niamh sweater several times, so it's very exciting to me! I am nearly finished the body, in Sweetgrass from @purlsoho.bsky.social. So soft and lovely.
