Je bedoelt het Britse Mandaat (voor) Palestina. Dat is geen land. Zijn ouders kwamen volgens zeggen uit Gaza en zijn naar Egypte gegaan. Daar is Arafat geboren en getogen. Zijn grootouders kwamen weer uit Egypte en hij heeft een Egyptische naam.
